Four films and a TV show you’ll love if you liked Last Man On Earth
So, you watched The Last Man on Earth like the 58 billion others of us and like said 58 billion people you loved the show. Not a bad stretch, Lord/Miller have created the odd-duck of odd-duck TV shows and it’s going to be great to figure out where it leads. In the meantime if you’re inspired to go down a TLMOE inspired rabbit hole we have a few things you may want to check out.
NOTE: If you have not seen The Last Man on Earth you may want to watch at least the pilot and come back because I do discuss a few spoiler-y items within the article.
An 80’s delight that I watched and rewatched so much that I think that it may have ingrained into my head that Mary Warnov was an actual scientist and Jeffery Lewis is some sort of alien virus victim. The premise is so ripe for reimagination I am shocked no one has done it. The night a newly discovered comet is going to be within view (this was during the Haley’s Comet mania of the 80’s), two valley girls (literal not figurative) end up as the last two people on earth. Well, like The Last Man on Earth, this film is a bit more slippery than that. You’ll have to buy the great Scream Factory Blu-Ray as it’s not available on any streaming service.
